Mika's bikes

As a high school kid in the 70s I had a 125 cc Kawasaki F6, and later at some point a Honda CB 125. Other interests took over and only in 1995 I again bought myself a bike. At that time I was working on contract in Japan, and a Honda Transalp came very handy for commuting and fun riding. The serpentine roads in the Japanese mountains were a motorist's dream. Back in Finland, however I have learned to appreciate the quiet and very extensive gravel road network in Finland.

All my motorbikes have been second-hand and each of them has had a few problem spots to fix. Bike maintenance and repair is to me part of the hobby. I am not so keen on the washing and polishing business. Luckily with this kind of bikes a little dirt here and scratches there are no issue as long as the machine does its job.

Experiences from past and present bikes:

Kawasaki KL650 Tengai '92
